Leading trumpet player Randy Brecker chooses DPA 4099 mic
Brecker put the mic through its paces during a two-week tour; on returning, he declared himself to be addicted to the mic:
“I think it actually improves my playing. This tour was acoustic, and in that kind of situation I would never have used clip-ons in the past.”

DPA microphones capture Hans Christian Andersen soundtrack
DPA mics have been used to record the soundtrack for a film production of Andersen’s classic fairytale, The Wild Swans.
The production has a strong link with the Danish royal family, as the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II, worked on the backdrops and visual designs for the film.

Performing Musician magazine reviews 4099 instrument mics
Performing Musician reviews DPA 4099 – and likes it a lot:
"I can't think of any reason why a saxophonist, trumpeter, violinist, violist, fiddler, mandolinist, guitarist, banjoist, bouzouki or cittern player shouldn't have one of these in their gig bag."
